Abstract
The calculation of a pallet incorporated in the load-carrying system of a heavy rotary-movable
table is considered with account for the machined workpiece rigidity only the weight of a
workpiece, but also its rigidity. However, a change of the position in space at any point of the
workpiece mounted on the tilt-sliding table depends not only on the hardness of the table but also
on the hardness of the workpiece. The purpose of the work is to calculate the pallet, which is part of
the support system of a heavy machine center taking into account the rigidity of the workpiece. To
account for the workpiece rigidity it is recommended to use conditional minimum stiffness
workpieces (without walls, edges of rigidity, and closed internal circuits). It is shown that the
workpiece rigidity significantly affects the pallet rigidity and in general hence the section of the
carrier as a whole leads to a decrease in displacements (43.6%) and weight (22.3%) of pallets.
