EQUATIONS OF PROFILE TOOTHING WITH ROUNDED EDGES FOR A WAVE GEAR

WITH INTERMEDIATE ROLLING SOLIDS

Abstract

The geometric parameters of the toothing of the wave gear with intermediate rolling solids is

considered. A coordinate system is selected. The parametric equations of the profile of the rim are

derived. In order to improve transmission efficiency and to reduce its running-in period the

equations for the rounded edges of toothing are deduced. The coordinates of the center of the

rounding circle are found. The recommendation for the selection of the diameter of the rounding

circle is given. Epicycloidal profile with rounded edges by AutoCad program is drawn. The sample

model of the ring gear on the basis of the mathematical relationships is made. The product is

intended for use in the construction of the power tool electric drill on the basis of the commutator

motor with a useful capacity of 1 kW.
