Abstract
In this paper we consider a version of upgrading the freight-car bogie using wear-resistant
materials. Wear resistant characteristics of materials used in the construction of freight car bogie
units are revealed. Some results of comparative tests of the tribological assembly are provided and
cast-iron and steel tribological properties are described.
