Abstract

Theoretical and experimental studies of wear resistance through lathe and template-controlled

turning/boring of ring to increase its wearability are carried in this article. Experimental studies

were conducted on a special machine by rings processing. The studies of bits wear resistance were

conducted by measuring of bits wearability depending on tooling material grade. According to

studies results, the application of throw-away carbide inserts with wear-resistance coating can

increase bits wear resistance in comparison with current in more than by half.

As the result of work, the studies of bits wear resistance were tested and proved under factory

conditions.
