Abstract

The main idea of this paper is searching for technical and technological solutions for connecting

UHMWPE with metal frame for forming a tribological couple.

The problems of creating composite compounds, like metal and UHMWPE and using of

"dovetail" like connecting elements are also considered. We have summarized all the results of

exploration in composite production (metal and UHMWPE) field. The necessary operating

parameters on deformation and shaping of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE).

Experimentally obtained samples, which were formed under the influence of temperature and

pressure are provides straining of polyethylene and compounds. UHMWPE is used as a structural

material in the tribological pairs, because it has low coefficient of friction. There is a need of

UHMWPE engagement on different kinds of frames, including metal, when constructing

tribological pairs. To solve this problem, firstly, necessary to examine ways of forming products

made of polyethylene.
