DIFFUSION CARBIDE COATINGS ON STEEL WITH 0,8 PERCENT OF CARBON

Abstract

The properties of carbide coatings on carbon steel were studied in this paper. Process was made

in saturating mixtures with the use of iron-alloy powders. There were various ratios of these

powders. It is found that the two-component coating have higher wear resistance under dry sliding

friction than one component coatings. The mathematical modeling was carried out with simplex

planning method. The composition of the mixture which provides the maximum durability was

determined
